HP Compaq DC7700 Yosemite questions

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have successfully installed Yosemite 10.10 on my HP Compaq DC7700 Core 2 Duo and its working fine once I get it to boot properly but if I turn the computer off then back on again I currently have to boot with the USB install bootloader as it won't boot by itself and I have an optical mouse which blinks a couple of times then goes off and when I get to the password screen the mouse and keyboard both do not work, If I restart the computer and use -x to boot into safe mode then I notice that the mouse light blinks and stays on but then I get a grey screen with nothing else, then I have to manually restart and not use safe mode and then it boots fine and all is working. Is there any way to patch this issue??

I also have an ASUS Nvidia GT620 graphics card installed and using the VGA adapter to use my VGA only screen at the moment.

I would also like to know if I can get it to boot on its own without having to use the USB Installer to boot into the os.

Thanks in advance.
