VoodooTSCSync.kext causing issues booting.

Recommended Posts

Well, I have an HP Envy m6-ae151dx. It has an Intel i5-5200U and Intel 5500 HD Graphics. The DVMT is perfectly fine(128MB) for 10.10. I have the latest Yosemite Zone(10.10.1) on a flash drive. My boot flags are as follows.

/hp -v -x cpus=1
. When I boot it up, the following shows up in the verbose log, it never gets to OS X at all. Never gets out of loading kexts.
HFS+ file: [hd(0,1)/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooTSCSync.kext/Contents/MacOS/VoodooTSCSync] 4096 bytes.
HFS+ file: [hd(0,1)/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooTSCSync.kext/Contents/MacOS/VoodooTSCSync] 33384 bytes.
Errors encountered while starting up the computer.
Pausing 5 seconds. . .

And from here it goes to a black screen where nothing happens. The USB is a USB 3.0 drive. Thanks!
