Enabling USB in Mavericks or Yosemite in VirtualBox (x99)

Recommended Posts

I managed to get Mavericks running in VirtualBox, but when I insert a USB drive, nothing happens. I've tried all my USB ports, and none of them work (even though my keyboard and mouse both work, and they're USB). Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm okay with any version, since I only need it to create a bootable USB for a vanilla install.

I'm using an i7 5820k processor on an Asus x99-A USB 3.1 motherboard.
