Please check BIOS settings. These are the common BIOS settings used.

Load Optimized Defaults before doing anything else.

If your CPU supports VT-d, find the setting and disable it.

If your system has CFG-Lockfind the setting and disable it.

If your system has Secure Boot Modefind the setting and disable it.

Set OS Type to Other OS, if applicable.

Find the SATA option and set it to AHCI mode.

Save and exit. Your machine should reboot.

If this does not help, try the "-v" boot flag (without quotes). And give a screenshot of the line where is freezes on.

You can also try using "-x" boot flag with "-v" boot flag. "-x" is for safe mode which usually works most of the time.

Hope this helps!

Cheers :D

No matter want i try I'm unable to disable the Secure boot. And  I can't seem to find Intel Visualization in my laptop. But I checked with securable  and my pc supports vt-d. What should I do? I'm having same porblem when I try to install Mavericks. Please advise me what can I do? I think that my BIOS is locked by Acer only. I'm missing a lot of features of it.

    • It's basically a problem with your graphics card, so try doing this.   In the boot options go to graphics injector and make a tick on intel graphics injector.   Also make sure you go to your bios and disable your discrete graphics Card.   After doing these to things, it solved the issue for me!! Hope it helps!
    • I installed Yosemite with the use of iGPU but when I installed the eGPU as mentioned on the title the loading screen stuck on caution. I also tried the bootflags such us  nv_disable=1 and nvda_drv=1 also I tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No but still no luck. What might be the possible problem? Image link
