ALC892 Audio Not Working

Recommended Posts

I finally installed Yosemite 10.10.1 and I'm not getting any sound. I have tried installing the ALC892 kext through multibeast (newest version as well as multibeast v6.1 as a few people said that worked for them) as well as Voodoo v2.8.4 and I get no sound. i get some message that says:

"The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update."

Anyone else having this issue?

My build:

CPU: AMD FX-8320, 3.5ghz
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 1GB
MoBo: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+
Audio: Realtek ALC892
