Ive had that problem, I tried booting with different bootflags but nothing.

The way I solve it is reinstalling, enter to the first boot configuration and when you are in the account creator I don’t create it, I just wait without moving anything, then after 10 minutes it pass to the login screen in “root mode”, si, in username you have to put “root” and in password you have to put “niresh”, then it starts normally and finish the setup, then you just create your account in the preferences and reboot normal with your account.

That’s the way I always solve this problem. Hope it works for you!

Let me know if you try it and if it worked!

Dear all

After installation, the system pop up by itself, and only "other" user account shown on the start up window.

No idea the user name and password, even though using root as user name and niresh as password, it still does not work.

Revised:  the user name "root"  and password "niresh" is workable.  but, you really need to wait for a while as the system need to run.  (depends on you machine, hardware)

I had to change the root account to my own account - now I'm stuck (I know this is an old post but wondering if there is another work around).

I HAVE the same problem... Does the startup always hangs on 50 and you have to wait until the Windows button/command to open the login screen? I do... But I wil try waiting with username root and pass niresh. I hope this work... I think I just give a update when I tried it over 30 min and a hour...

PLZ LET IT WORK ?

        ?processor?

UPDATES

-little update 5 min - is to short...

-update 30 min  - nope...

-update 45 min - still no...

-update 60 min - (didn't check...)

-update 8 hours (7 on sleep mode) - nononononono

-update 20 hours - No wont work

I'll think I need a new option....

The same problem here. I know this is an old post, but any other suggestions?

I am installing Yosemite.Zone in a VirtualBox. Until login everything is fine, after entering my credentials and hit the Enter Button the wheel will spin forever..

I had the same problem with Yosemite in a VirtualBox under Ubuntu 14.04, but solved like this:

boot with options -s -v -x

re-mount and exit the shell:

/sbin/fsck -fy

/sbin/mount -uw /

exit

...since then, the problem vanished.

...even after several reboots.

best regards,

Stephan
