VirtualBox installation aborts, install log attached

Recommended Posts

Installer works fine, at 90 or 95% the installation is aborted.

Full install log is attached.

After reboot from hard disk, Chameleon complains about error parsing plist file, but continues boot. Stops at appearing mouse cursor on progress bar screen. Assuming these errors result from installation aborted.

VirtualBox 4.3.18.96516 running on Linux kernel 3.13.0-39-generic

Intel Core i7-2600

@ you are installing this in a virtual box virtual box doesnt support mac os x exclusively but vmware support it if you can try vmware use that first and in the other hand if you want to use virtual box use the same config as for mavericks found in this article http://www.macbreaker.com/2014/05/os-x-mavericks-in-virtualbox-with-niresh.html

Trying to install in VMware ESXi. The installer VMDK I created (converted from the USB VDI drive I used to boot the VirtualBox machine) does not boot.

In Parallels 10, neither the DMG nor the VMDK are bootable.

Any ideas from your side? How can I install in ESXi? Can you provide a Yosemite-Zone.iso, please?

Two weeks later. Did you have time to look into creating a working ISO file? I am waiting for it.

    • Hello everyone  I have installed High Sierra and updated to 10.13.6 before installing nVidea web drivers. After everything was installed (Kexts and the driver) everything booted fine. Graphics worked perfectly. My onboard USB did not work but I have some generic NEC USB 2.0 card that works fine. After a reboot later in the day, I had a weird kernel panic. It spit out strings no longer than 30 charters and then proceeded to reboot. I have not seen this type of panic . This happened when using the onboard USB 3.0 controller but was fixed by removing the device. But now I'm not sure what caused this. I have reinstalled about 15 times already. Here are my specs: ASUS B150 Plus D3 Intel Pentium G4400 ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 2GB WD Blue 500GB HDD 8GB Ram Some generic wireless card (That works) Thanks -T
