Installer will not start, SMC: Successfully initialized (AMD)

Recommended Posts

I was trying to install OS X on my custom built computer (specs: Phenom II x4 955, 8gb ram, Asus radeon hd 6450 silent) and although once I was able to get it into the installer, it failed (it didnt give me an exact error, it just said Failed to install Niresh's 10.9, try again) but when I rebooted to try again, it got stuck at SMC: Successfully initialized with the same bios settings and boot flags. I would really appreciate some help, because in its current state, the desktop is unusable (windows decided it would stop working, so I thought this would be the perfect time to try and put Mavericks on it). I can post screenshots if anyone wants, but I followed the guide by Macbreaker exactly.
