Cannot Start the Installation. Tried a lot of Flags.

Core2Duo 2.4Ghz

Ati Radeon HD4650 M




When I boot with no flags, "Errors Encountered while starting the computer, Pausing in 5 Seconds" appears and gets stuck at the apple logo for more than 10 mins.


tried the following Flags:


-v -x GraphicsEnabler=No( and yes)

GraphicsEnabler=No (and yes) -v -x xpcm-free


-v -x GraphicsEnabler=No( and yes) PCIRootUID=0(and 1)


SkipAtiGfx=Yes(and No)


UseAtiROM=Yes(and No)


"Graphics Mode"="1368x768x32"



Following messages was seen on the screen:


Local APIC error


ACPI Table not found.

Same here but dosent show or even get to installer, my monitor just sleeps, if anyone could help me too, my specs are - (A pic of error attached below) (Using bootable pen drive and OSX Maverics DMG File with Win32 )

DELL ST2220L (1920x1080@60Hz) Monitor
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (MSI)
931GB Seagate ST31000524AS ATA Device (SATA) 35 °C
JetFlash Transcend 8GB USB using as Bootable Installer
Optical Drives-
I get the same error - Errors Encountered while starting the computer, Pausing in 5 Seconds but it dosent show the apple log, it not evens open installer, my monitor just go to sleep

I've an hp laptop so, its an hp mobo.

However, I suppose the .DMG is damaged. I tried converting it into .ISO and it stops at 24%.



I just confirmed it. The .DMG is damaged. :(

hmm, hp mobo :)

1.So I think we should make a DVD, I already downloaded ISO, so I will try to burn and install it with DVD, BTW are there specific DVD requirements or any DVD would work ?

2.BTW is it Mavericks DMG or Mountain Lion ? And how did you check that it was Damaged ?

3.if DVD mavericks don't work then tomorrow (22 Sep) I'll try Mountain Lion (Niresh) because if mountain lion works then, It will be sure that there isn't any hardware problem.

2 hrs left for Completion Of Mountain Lion Niresh

Update 2: 12:01PM -

Will install mountain lion tomorrow or day after tomorrow, becuz today is too late , tomorrow I have to prepare for exam which is day after tomorrow so if I get time tomorrow I'll try it but if I don't then I will install it after my exam which is on 24 sep

Update 3: 8:16 PM -

Mountain Lion works, installing, will post pics when installation completes. BTW I used my same pendrive which I used for mavericks

I installed mountain lion, installation was successful but after install it is not booting, maybe it is a kernal panic, I have posted a new post (link below), it has a pic and a video too, pls help, if anyone know anything about it. for more info pls see the new thread.
