Niresh Mavericks 10.9.4 Very long boot time

Recommended Posts

So basically it takes about a minute and a half to fully boot from Niresh bootloader, to the Mavericks Login screen. After the Apple logo finishes loading, it goes to a grey screen, with my cursor in the top left corner for about 30 seconds, then goes to the Mavericks login screen, where it freezes for another 10-15 seconds, I can't type my password during this time. After logging in, it's completely fine. What is the problem? I've used UseKernelCache=yes in the chameleon.plist.

0RY007 G31/33 Chipset motherboard (Foxconn)

Core 2 Duo E8400 (3GHz)

4GB DDR2 (400MHz) Ram

XFX HD 7770 OC Edition (1GB 128-bit GDDR5)

Toshiba 200GB HDD (4200 RPM)

My whole setup works natively with Mavericks, I don't need to use any bootflags to successfully boot into the OS.

I suggest you make a backup of you'r current os x install and reinstall to see if the problem persists, if not, copy all personal files, applications etc back to you'r fresh install.
