Graphics Card Not Fully Accelerated!

Recommended Posts

I recently installed Mavericks 10.9 (Niresh) and everything seems to be functioning as it should, except for my graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 650). It should work out of the box, without drivers, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. (The only game I run is Minecraft). Before installing OS X on my computer, I played Minecraft on Windows 7 with an Nvidia Geforce GT 610 2GB. I'd normally get around 60-90 FPS on average/medium settings when playing on a server. Which was pretty good, but now Minecraft is completely unplayable. I now get around 5 - 10 FPS on low settings, while playing on a server.

- CPU (AMD FX-6300) @3.5Ghz

- Ram (6GB 1066Mhz RAM) Mixture of Crucial and PNY Ram

- GPU (PNY NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 1GB) 1920 x 1080

- OS (Mavericks 10.9.0)

- Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P) Rev 5.1

Here's what I've already tried:

1) Reinstalling Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.0 (Niresh).

2) Testing two dedicated graphics cards (PNY NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 1GB) & (PNY NVIDIA Geforce GT 610 2GB), and tried my integrated GPU (ATI Radeon 3000).

3) I read online that if you uncheck "Displays have separate Spaces" in (System Preferences > Mission Control). Log out, then log back in your FPS would go up, but this didn't affect the performance.

4) Enabling "Virtualization" in the bios.

5) Tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes, but once it booted into Mac OS X, all I could see is a white screen.

6) The only game I play on OS X is Minecraft, but I did try another game and it didn't run any better.
