UserEventAgent consuming high CPU

Question

Hello all users, i'm very glad to say that i've got this version of setup installed and running fine on my build well. Thanks to niresh and deepak for their developments. I have been facing an issue which is concerning me lately, that being a process called UserEventAgent eating up atleast one core of my CPU. I am using the latest clover and selected auto install drivers during installation. Since i had manually installed kexts on previous version of OS X, i had never faced this issue until now. Google seemed to help me little but i couldn't find the exact problem. I tried rebooting and force quitting, the process pops back in again regardless what i do. My PC build is:

Intel DG45ID

5GB DDR2

GTS 450

No DSDT

Anybody experienced this could share some answers. Thanks

i'm using the latest clover from their site(because macpoison refused to install clover from it). Later setup additional kexts using macpoison. I generated SSDT as you said using your software, rebooted and the extra folder seem to be empty. What am i doing wrong? thanks for your response! :inlove:

i still cant find any file in extra/ directory. I select Generate SSDT in hackintosh tools category and hit install, am i missing anything here? I use the same bootloader to boot my previously installed mavericks too, but i dont get this high CPU usage there. Should i freshly install Yosemite with fewer options(eg. unselecting the automatic driver installs/scripts etc)? Would that solve this issue? i just hate my PC running at high fan speed creating alot of noise and eating up one complete core

Hey To solve the UserEventAgent issue do the following

Go to

System/Library/LaunchAgents

and "move" the following files to any place safe.

1. com.apple.UserEventAgent-LoginWindow.plist
2. com.apple.UserEventAgent-Aqua.plist

OSX will ask you for admin authentiction.

Once done. Reboot and the HIGH CPU usage should be gone.

    • Hello everyone  I have installed High Sierra and updated to 10.13.6 before installing nVidea web drivers. After everything was installed (Kexts and the driver) everything booted fine. Graphics worked perfectly. My onboard USB did not work but I have some generic NEC USB 2.0 card that works fine. After a reboot later in the day, I had a weird kernel panic. It spit out strings no longer than 30 charters and then proceeded to reboot. I have not seen this type of panic . This happened when using the onboard USB 3.0 controller but was fixed by removing the device. But now I'm not sure what caused this. I have reinstalled about 15 times already. Here are my specs: ASUS B150 Plus D3 Intel Pentium G4400 ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 2GB WD Blue 500GB HDD 8GB Ram Some generic wireless card (That works) Thanks -T
