Memory Allocation error at boot. Non Recoverable, System Halted

Recommended Posts

I was able to get Mavericks installed, but at first boot I get a fatal error. I'm guessing it's coming from my video card ("File: cache.c, Line 94")

My Equipment:

Hp compaq 6005 pro  SFF

Amd athlon II  X2 B22 processer

4GB RAM

ATI Radeon hd 4200

I have almost the same equipment:

Model: HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 B97 Processor

Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4200

and I can't even manage to install Mavericks 10.9. I get the above mentioned error as soon as the USB loads at the startup. I've made all the necessary alterations in the BIOS and tried with Lion 10.8.2 (doesn't even recognize the USB and loads Windows 7 instead).
