HP Pavilion G4 - Success! but with various problems :)

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am a first time hackintosh user. :D

just want to say thanks to Niresh for his straightforward installer. :D

i have various problems with my Mavericks. which i will highlight one by one.  i hope you guys could advise me on my problems. :) believe me, i used google already and installed various kexts but it wont work. :D

My Build:

HP G4 Laptop

Processor  2.1 GHz Intel Core i3

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB - working

6GB ram - working

Wifi - working (ralink 5370)

Sleep - working

This works but....

1. Audio - even tho i already mute the volume still, it releases sound on my laptop. the adjust is useless.

2. usb drives - i have 2 on the left, and 1 on right, sometimes, the left works, and the right doesnt. :(

It doesnt work at all

1. icloud - i installed the one that Niresh posted but it doesnt work. i also deleted plist file but it wont work.

2. radeon 6470m - i am confused how to make this work. i installed various kext but it just wont work.

3. adjust light?

Can it work?

1. my laptop is i3 and has 6gb ram, can mavericks maximise this?

Issues that needs to be addressed (cause i think my laptop will die)

1. everytime i restart, bootloader wont show up. instead i get a blackscreen. but my laptop is still turned on cause my fan is still working and the lights are turned on.

2. same with restart, when i turn off, it doesnt completely off. my lcd is black, fan still spinning, keyboard light is on

- i need to address this issue cause its been a day that im forcing my laptop to turn off. this is a bad practice since my hdd or hwatever might just stop working.

any advice will be appreciated. :)
