quick reboot problem after upgrade to mavericks 10.9.3

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I have trouble upgrading to 10.9.3

To be able to install the Niresh 10.9.0 distro I had to boot with the flag xpcm-free (otherwise my PC rebooted verry fast)

Now after upgrading I have the same problem, only I cannot use the flag anymore. It doesn't excist it says.

Probably a stupid problem but i'm a total noob at this :)

my specs:

Intel Corei7

Intel HD Graphics 4600

Thanks in advance.

@masabacha before updating you have to download the xpcm patched kernel for haswell and place in in root of you Mac OS X

but rename the file as xpcm-free then apply the update

then boot with xpcm-free -v you'll succeed

@masabacha "waiting for DSMOS"! may be caused by not having FakeSMC.kext in /System/Library/Extensions

but if you have it and if it doesn't boot then reinstall os x

its a permission related issue and can not be fixed ( according to my experience)

Could you please tell me how to do this step by step ?

Must it be before you restart after the update , or before you do the update.

And where can I find the correct xpcm patched kernel ?
