Install Lock-Up - Bluetooth Issue?

Recommended Posts

Hello Friends!

I started the install on my machine which has an AMD FX8150 and Asus M5A97 R2.o motherboard, and the installation froze at this point:

[iOBlueToothHCIController][searchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler}--Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!

And that is as far as I get.

I read in another forum that using -f and npci=0x2000 helped, but those were Intel machines.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steven

First of all, please download the new Mavericks .dmg file...it has been updated.

This tip came from Niresh himself!

If the problem is still there we will try to resolve it from there.

I was able to install with the option cpus = 1, everything went well at the end of the installation the system reboots and begins to load OSX, arriving at the first few pages but after a few seconds everything freezes and I have to turn off, I noticed that always stops after a fixed time and not after a particular choice, what can I do?

This is my -v log:

AHCI Enabled:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pbcnl1yi20r1dek/AHCI.JPG

IDE Enabled:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0dfn195zp8my85e/IDE.JPG

Tried to boot up with amdfx kernel.

I should try with cpus=1

-x gives me a kernel panic.

PD: I'm having the problem in a 10.8.5 machine. I don't know if this matters.

PD2: I tried with cpus=1, same thing.

I had this error as I mentioned at the start of the thread -

Downloaded the updated DMG from Niresh - I then installed and had a wait period, got called away for about 15 minutes, and when I came back it had continued on to the install screen.

Now I cannot get through the first post-install run without black screen and the monitor going to sleep, but THAT is another thread :)

Hi Niresh and all,

I would like to install Niresh Maverick 10.9.0 ISO into my laptop (Toshiba Satellite P50t-A) as a VirtualBox Machine.

Every time I try to install, the installation procedure freeze at "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport. I read that could be a Video Problem. I tried to boot with -v, -x, GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No, USBBusFix=Yes...so i tried a lot of option but always the same resutl.

I was able to install beside my host S.O. (Ubuntu 13.04), but It could be nice to have as a Virtual Machine.

My hardware config is:

CPU: i7-4700MQ

RAM: 16GB

Hard-disk: SATA AHCI

Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200

VGA: Intel HD 4400

VGA2: NVIDIA Corporation GK208M [GeForce GT 740M]

This is the screenshoot of boot with -v option.

Maybe try this ?

Boot -s. When you see the prompt "root:", then:

Type: mount -uw /

Type: cd /System/Library/Extensions

Type: mkdir intel_back

Type: mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelF* intel_back/

Type: touch ../Extensions

Then reboot... By moving graphics original kext, maybe that could resolve your problem. Good luck.

By booting with -s you mean booting an installation with -s flag? I tried that, but I didn't get "root:". Am I doing something wrong?

I shut down the VM and tried this from the host OS:

VBoxManage modifyvm <Name of virtual machine> --cpuidset 00000001 000306a9 00020800 80000201 178bfbff

and it booted into the installer!  So it appears to have been a Haswell issue.
