I9 / Z390 Build Vs Xeon /x79 Build on Mavericks

Happy Black Friday!

I am currently in the market to build a new Hacontosh. I currently have a x79 LGA2011 build with a i7 6 Core build. It is running Mavericks and need to stay in Mavericks for some of my applications (Mainly ProTools 10HD) I also use a Logic Pro and Final Cut as well as some Adobe programs. I am debating buying a cheap LGA board and a 12 Core processor or building a i9 build. Below are the desired specs, I need some feedback. Also, has anyone had any luck running Mavericks on a i9 build? It would kind of be a deal breaker to not run Mavericks on one of my boot drives as ProTools 10 HD would have issues.

I really want to upgrade to a i9 build to future proof my purchase. Also even with the processor being a 12 core in the LGA 2011 build, all benchmarks I have seen the i9 would crush it. I need 2 PCIe x16 slots (one for GPU and one for NVMe Controller) a few other slots (PCIe x8/ x4)

For ProTools controller and FireWire card. Would like another x16 slot for thunderbolt 3 later on.

Give me any suggestions! I will most likely purchase the components that I would use in both build today and hold off on the mother board and processors.
