CPU Frequency too high on my i7 Hashwell with Mavericks

Recommended Posts

I'm have installed with NullCPUPowerManagement and I think that is the reason why my CPU is working at (3.2GHz) all the time.

(In Windows 8.1 the frequency is low: 0.80GHz and increases if need be up until 3.2 GHz)

Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

My configuration:

Laptop ASUS N750JV-T4042D

Processor: Mobile QuadCore Intel Core i7-4700 HQ, 800MHz
Motherboard Chipset: Mobile Intel Lynx Point HM86 Chipset
Graphics (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M, 4GB DDR3-1600
Network Devices: Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2
RAM: 8GB DDR 3, 1600 MHz
Sound: SonicMaster, Bang & Olufsen ICEpower 2.1
HDD: 1TB, 5400 rpm

Others:Bluetooth 4.0, card reader, webcam

So it works in OS X, But not in Windows 8.1?

No, that is not what I meant. In Windows 8.1 the CPU it's at his lowest when not used and automatically increases if need be just like Intel designed it with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. In OS x Mavericks it just stays at 3.2GHz all the time hence increasing temperature and draining battery.

I have tested with:

for both Windows and Mavericks

@AndreiUle use the alternative disabler kext or use a patched AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext for mavericks if its mavericks
