Question

I cannot seem to find my mach_kernel in my root directory. Every time I try to replace it with a different kernel, I get a prompt telling me that it is invisible. I tried running this command: sudo chflags hidden /mach_kernel, but it still did not work for me. I am trying to replace the mach_kernel with a better optimized AMD kernel.

Specs:

AMD Athlon X4 740 Trinity 3.2GHz

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75

Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB)

GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB
