Boot flag needed for Dell Inspiron N5110

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install Niresh Mavericks on a Dell Inspiron N5110. I have created a bootable image using Win32 Disk Imager. I have successfully installed Mavericks in my AMD build using this. Now I'm trying to install it on this Dell laptop.

Please tell me, which flags should I use to install Mavericks on this Laptop. The processor is Intel Core i5 2nd generation. It has an onboard Nvidia Graphics (Which version, I'm not so sure, will update later)

I'l give further details on the Laptop Configuration later, I have to check it using Everest Home.

Hi Aman,

I have tried to install mavericks on a Dell Inspiron n5110.

Niresh Mavericks, bootable image made using Win32disk imager.

I have used -v -f as boot flags. Formatted the partition using disk utility as mac journals extended.

Couldn't find option to select MBR.

Installation fails after 100%.

Error message is "Installation failed "

What should i do now...???

Error message is;

Install Failed

Osx couldn't be installed on your computer.

The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

Contract the software manufacturer for assistance.

Click to restart to return to your previous version of OS X.
