Recommended Posts

Can someone help me to install High Sierra from Hackintoshzone on my laptop?

Specifications:

American Megatrends Inc. R1120Y6

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz

4 GB RAM DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB

USB 2.0 intel ports

I have tried many times but installations stops on [pci-configurations-begin] with boot flag npci=0x2000

without this boot flag the installation stay on "still waiting for root device"

I show my EFI files...

@alejita271991 Still waiting for root device occurs if USB is not properly detected by OS, Check BIOS Settings.

I have followed the steps correctly with the BIOS, but nothing happens. but if I install Yosemite, then I boot the USB High Sierra with the clover that has already been installed for the Yosemite version. I think it's not the BIOS, but the configuration of the clover in the High Sierra USB, do you have any ideas? Can you help me?

Hola!,

Hello!,

I have been able to fix this problem on my SONY VAIO VPCEB2M1E notebook,

I told you a bit because it happened to me,

It turns out that from an OSX version onwards the systems had to run in AHCI and our notebooks do not have to BIOS how to do this configuration because they perform it AUTOMATICALLY, how could I solve ?, Simple, DO NOT INSTALL WITH USB,

my laptop currently has 2 SSD, 1 in SATA DISK controller, and 1 caddy with 1 SSD, both 240gb.

What I did was partition the caddy 240gb in 16gb for the bootable of High Sierra (in my case) and when I ran the perfect installer !!, I did not have any more problem roll Still waiting for root device, then I had a problem of license in high sierra but this is another hahahaha issue .. anyway already once you pass that horrible problem it is already simple.

I recommend running the installer with an extra partition of your disk, so it will be running in AHCI, our BIOS is not able to run AHCI for the USB, and I recommend you do the installation with SSD.
