There is a method in the vanilla guide to make usb bootable you can use the same method to make your hard disk bootable here is the link to Vanilla Mojave Guide

This is my first time doing Hackintosh. I've several other machines running Mac using UniBeast and Multi beast. I wanted to try Hackintosh Vanilla. So far, no luck. I followed the Guide and MacPwn Mojave Guide.

IHi,

I have followed the guide too, installed Clover and everything works fine. Make sure when you install Clover that it's for the right setup. I had to change the setting for UEFI only (click on customise tab) because the default settings was for legacy (BIOS). It means it won't create the EFI partition with the necessary files needed for booting in UEFI mode.

I wanted to add that when I first installed High Sierra and Clover the EFI partition was formatted in FAT16 and not FAT32. I had to format it to FAT32 manually (dual boot with linux made it easy) and then copied the usb EFI folder content on it. I realised that something was wrong when Clover Configurator wouldn't mount the EFI partition (SSD not HDD).

I followed the instructions as well still not booting with from hard disk without the help of the USB,

When I power the computer while the USB is not connected to the computer I get the boot options:
Clover
Clover
Clover
Mac OS x
Mac OS x
and The name of my hard disk

I tried all of them but then I get the message:
(Reboot and select proper boot device
Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key)

does it mean that my computer does recognize the clover in my hard disk but for some reason doesn't manage to bootSeem that many people are having this problem, hope someone can help us here to fix this problem....

Well, use the usb to get into the system. Then install Clover Configurator. In the tool section select Mount EFI. It should list 2 entries. One is the hard drive and the other the USB. Mount both of them and simply copy the USB EFI folder content into the EFI folder (delete the original files) on the hard drive. After the reboot navigate into the EFI/Clover folder on the hdd and select the Cloverx64.efi boot file.
