[GUIDE] ATI 5650m full QE/CI on OSX Mavericks

This guide will show you how to achieve full QE/CL on OS X Mavericks 10.9 on the ATI 5650M Mobility 

 

Software Required

In OS X

  1. Install Clover Bootloader and Reboot
  2. Copy the edit.txt from the USB or whatever you backed it up to the desktop.
  3. Edit your Clover's Config.plist with Clover Configurator
  4. Once it's loaded head over to the Graphics tap
  5. Tick the following Boxed: Load VBios, Patch VBios, Inject ATI, Inject EDID.
  6. Copy the EDIT from text file to the text box in clover (It will be automatically converted into BASE64)
  7. In the FB Name Box Type: Orangutan
  8. Reboot

@Lordriguez I tried updating to 10.9.2 but couldn't boot at all (PCI Config Begin) even with all the kexts that were given provided by Niresh :( so i re-installed.

Currently I'm on 10.9.0 :) To get full QE/CI on the ATI 5650m you have to use Clover.

That guide worked for me .. Thank u so  much... but their is problem after display sleep, it looks like this..

@ArunFx As for sleep, it doesn't generally work properly on any laptop so that's that

Thanks @Devonic i will test it!  

Another thing : i see in your signature that you have 10.9.2 marvericks  have you succesfully install the update and setup clover to have full QE/CI? If yes how?
