  1. Hi, I'm trying to install Yosemite 10.10.1 in a VirtualBox VM on Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1. My PC: ASUS main board; i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz; RAM 8GB; System Type: 64 Bit. I was following the instruction on www.macwelt.de (sorry, only in German language). Summary of my work steps: - Download and unzip Yosemite 10.10.1 ISO.zip - Download Yosemite-Zone.iso with µTorrent - Create a new VM in Virtual Box 5.2.16 o Name: Mac OS X Yosemite o Typ: Mac OS X o Version: I try “Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite (64-bit)” and “Mac OS X (64-bit)” o RAM Size: I try 2048MB and 4096MB o Hard disk: VDI, I try 25GB dynamical and 40GB static size - Change: Uncheck “System | Main Board | EFI enabled (only special Gusts)” - Insert the Yosemite-Zone.iso into the DVD LW - Start the VM - Change Language to German - Create 1 Partition, Name: SYSLW - Start installation Result: The Installation run and the progress bar counts from “remaining about 16 minutes” to “remaining about 2 minutes”. Then the HD- and the Network- Icons stop flashing. Only the USB-Icon flashes every few seconds. Any attempt to click something causes the cursor to switch to the rotating disc. No further reaction. I waited more than an hour and then give up and stop the VM. - Press F8 on new boot and enter –v - Console messages scroll over the screen. After these stops, I wanted to save the output, but I do not know how to do that. A click into the VirtualBox window shows instantly the “Choose Language” window. German chosen. Already existing drive selected. Installation log opened with the menu command. - After the output of line 825 the system seems to hang. This prevents saving the log output. Can only attach a Screenshot. I'm sorry that I do not know how to give better information. I hope someone can help anyway. Thanks in advance Bernd
  2. Hi, I'm new to this whole hackintosh thing, and i'm getting some problems when booting from my USB (I'm trying to install Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1). I already formatted my USB using transmac, and I restored the disk image with the "Yosemite-Zone.dmg" file. Also, I made sure to change my bios settings correctly. My problem is, when I boot from my USB and select "Yosemite Zone", it brings me to a screen with the hackintosh logo and stays there, and I can never continue to the next step to install hackintosh. Here is what the screen looks like: (this is not my picture. I got this picture from the internet, but my screen looks exactly the same) Specs of my PC: Intel core i5 7500 (cpu) 16gb of ram (ram) GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (gpu) Gigabyte H110M-a (motherboard) Can someone please help me with this problem Thanks in advanced
  3. Hello, I have a problem with my hackintosh (AMD Athlon based system). I have a GTX 960 Strix and I successfully installed Yosemite on my computer, but when I install the Nvidia Web Drivers and that I reboot, I see the error "A graphics problem has been detected". If I click Ignore, I can't click on anything and the message reappear around 5 seconds later. If I boot in safe mode, my screens (One connected by DVI and the other by HDMI) just turn off. For information, if I start my computer with nv_disable=1, the screen is not scaled correctly and it is very laggy and I am running Mac OS X 10.10.1 (Niresh version). Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Hello! Firstly I want to thanks Niresh for his brilliant work to make the installation of Hackintosh so easy for the beginners. Now, as a beginner I am facing some damn problems and after trying for a week I was unable to solve the problem and hence I am posting here for a solution or suggestion... I am trying to install OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 (niresh distro) and due to some restarting problem at PCI Config Begin, I had to use 'npci=0x2000' or 'npci=0x3000' additional bootflags in my amd processor. Then the installation runs fine but at the very end it showed 'OS X couldn't be installed on your machine' with an error of “running scripts from the package ‘GraphicsEnabler.pkg’ ”, so I unselect the graphics kext from the customization area and the error was changed to “running scripts from the package ‘something_else.pkg’ ”… Hence, I unselect many unnecessary kexts in the customization screen like graphics, sound, network etc and then the installation was ended up with something like "Unable to build boot cache", after that I did some more experiments on the customization tab and then the installation finally ended up with "Undefined error: 0", Now seriously, WTF? Niresh, any ideas? This seems to be a consistent and reproducible problem, Please give me some suggestion about that problem, any type of advice will be highly recommended. Thanking you. Here is my Config (I know poor): Processor: AMD FX-4100 Quad core Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5450 Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 Ethernet: Realtek® 8111E , 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s) Audio: Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC *2 **Installer Log and screenshot attached. Hello you all. Has some one got video to work with out any problems and glitches. I have tried several graphic cards. 1. An old Nvidia Geforce 8400, this one works with GraphicsEnabler=No 2. Nvidia GT640with GraphicsEnabler=Yes 1 and 2 work with QE/CI but with gliches in small iconic pictures but else one can say they work. 3. Radeon 7850, this one works with GraphicsEnabler=No but screen is more distorted than with the Nvidia cards. With these three cards I can not use Quicktime to record screen video, the result is completely distorted video. I can record a screen video with other software and get good results.

    Yosemite audio on AMD

Hello everyone. I have installed Yosemite on following hardware, Gigabyte GA 870A UD3 motherboard and AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (Thuban) using the Niresh distro of the new Mac OS X. the install was plain and straight forward. I used an old Nvidia graphics card so the bootflags are kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes (for the old graphics card, No for the newer) and -f (use -v if any troubles) Now after install I got everything working although not perfect, the Launchpad is a little glitchy but OK I can live with that. The problem is the Audio (unusable). I have looked around on the internet and tried all sorts of supposed fixes but with no luck. I think I booted up with not using the kext-dev-mode=1 when the USB-headphones worked. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Since I have installed update to 10.10.1 (be careful to preserve the kernel though in "System/Library/Kernels" directory. I had tried other kernels but with out any fixing of the Audio. Another issue is that screen recording with Quicktime results in distorted video, but using Screenium works well. Trackpad using USB bluetooth works, Network card works. Best Regards I.A.
