    How to boot into USB

Hi! I'm a little new to this hackintosh thing (ive heard about it before but never really tried it out). Yesterday I decided to try out and install macOS on my PC, but before trying anything on the actual computer, i tried it on a virtual machine first. I downloaded Niresh's Hackintosh Mavericks (both the iso and the dmg) and it installed successfully on VirtualBox (including a Windows/MacOS dualboot), so i wanted to install it on the actual computer, and i followed all the instructions included with the download of Mavericks, here on Hackintosh Zone. Although I noticed that my BIOS doesnt have all the settings supposedly needed to boot into the USB drive after Restoring the dmg with Win32Imager, so it wont boot. I connected the USB into the Virtual Machine and it does detect it, although i cannot boot into the USB itself (from the actual computer). Can anyone help me? Specs: Computer: Acer Aspire ES1-533 Processor: Intel Pentium CPU N4200 @1.10GHz RAM: 6GB HDD: 1TB BIOS: InsydeH2O
  2. Hay there, My name is Nils, I am new here and it's nice to meet you all. My question is about the OS-Configuration. My desktop is a medion Akoya P2210D, it has a little strange architecture with the bios/eufi. The first option "OS Select" is easy, I have the choice between [win8] or [win7/other OS], so I choose the latter. By choosing that It gives 4 new settings/ choices: Boot Option Filter {EUFI and Legacy / Legacy only / UEFI only} Launch Storage OpROM policy {Do not launch/ UEFI only / Legacy only} Launch Video OpROM policy {Do not launch/ UEFI only / Legacy only} Other PCI device rom priority {UEFI OpROM / Legacy OpROM} Those choices are giving me a headache because every time I make a wrong choice it is a lot of work to undo it. The choices don't make much sense to me. Can someone give me some advice about this subject? Many thanks, Nils
  3. My Laptop do not boot in Clover UEFI I have a Dell Notebook Latitude E6420 (i5-2540M @2.60GHz, 4GB RAM, 350GB HardDisk) and I m running Niresh Os X Yosemite in Legacy Mode with great success! I want to upgrade in Sierra and I downloaded Sierra Zone and I have made a Bootable USB according to instructions! I tried to install (clean install in UEFI Mode) but all I get after 15 minutes is a black screen with nothing! Clover default boots (as I already saw) are : -v darkwake=0 dart=0 slide=0! So even though clover has the -v flag does not shows any signs in the screen so I know when is the problem! I tried to add the -x flag but again does NOT shows anything or moves a thing! What are your suggestions? Thank you very much!
  4. So, the other day I bought a new laptop, the Asus X551MA. I've tried iATKOS ML3U-UEFI, but I ran into a stonewall (stuck at "root device uuid is"). When I used Clover UEFI bootloader with the USB version of Niresh OS X 10.9, I got the message "This version of OS X is not compatible with your system Reason: X551MA"
  5. Hi, I managed to have a working installation of Yosemite zone on my laptop on the same drive with windows installed. I made standard usb boot disk with Yosemite zone and had to change my bios from UEFI to Legacy to boot from it Now that everything is working, is there a way for me to change the Chameleon Standard to anything UEFI so I can boot on my windows partition without having to enter bios each time to change the BIOS mode ? thx Acer V5-572G Intel I5 3317U @1,80Ghz HD4000 / Nvidia GT 750m
  6. Hey Everyone! I am installing and duel booting 10.9 Niresh and Windows on a single 1TB HDD FX-6300 280x M5A97 R2.0 (UEFI) When I install, I will use the MBR partition table since Niresh supports it oob and Windows 8 needs it. On my Windows 8 install USB I have removed the EFI folder to prevent Windows from booting up in UEFI because Chameleon does not support UEFI Windows I will use Chameleon because Clover does not support AMD 280x works OOB My WiFi Card will work OOB (TL-WDN4800) If I am correct please tell me and if i am not please tell me. Thanks everyone and I hope to be a successful Hackintosher!
  7. Everything is running great OS wise except for an internet freeze problem so I decided to see whether running a dsdt for my mobo would change anything. I have an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z mobo. Installed Clover in EFI partition without a hitch. When I change my boot order to clover or override boot I get this error saying "The system found unauthorized changes on the firmware, operating system or UEFI Drivers. Has anybody encountered this and hopefully figured out a way around it? Screenshot of problem below. Amd FX-8350 4.0ghz G-Skill 16gb 1600 ram Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z mobo w/ 2101 firmware version.
