  1. How Do I Get iCloud Working in Yosemite Zone? Hello! I recently installed Yosemite Zone and iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, and Google Chrome and none of them work, each saying my computer isn't validated. I have tried many things including the one with EFI Studio and deleting stuff to messing around in Chameleon and none of it seems to work. The App Store and it's sister apps work just fine, though. Does anyone know how to get all this working, as they are things I'd like to use. Specs: AMD Phenom II x4 B55 3.3 GHz 8 GB DDR3 NVidia GeForce GTX 750 MSI 890GXM-G65 Yosemite Zone 10.10.1
  2. This is a short guide on how to enable iCloud on an AMD machine. This might also work with Intel machines who run on different kernels and iCloud doesn't activate for them. This is not meant to be a general fix (Facetime, iMessage etc.) but those worked for me, before activating iCloud, with the BSA 10.9.5 FX Kernel. You will need : - An intel machine running OSX on a vanilla kernel (it can be a hackintosh, a Macintosh or a virtual machine running on intel cpu). - A USB stick or removable HDD or a LAN network between the two computers. - Patience I will try to be as specific as I can. I used the method running a VMWare machine with OSX 10.8.3 installed. It worked for my Mavericks 10.9.5 and here's proof (Yes, I'm Greek) : The VMWare method (its the one I used) is a bit tricky but it works 100% Steps : 1. Create a new user on the intel machine. Make sure it is connected to the internet. 2. Upon user creation set up your Apple ID (or create a new one) 3. After setting up the new user go to System Preferences -> iCloud 4. Login to iCloud on the intel machine. This is the crucial part, OSX will save the iCloud configuration for this user somewhere in the system. The user creation (step 2) DOES NOT save the iCloud configuration, this is the step that saves that configuration on your disk. Now, you need to migrate that user from the Intel machine to the AMD machine. There are two methods to do this : Method 1 (Using a time machine backup) : 1. Use a USB stick/HDD and make a Time Machine backup of the intel machine. 2. After it is done, connect the stick/HDD to your AMD machine. 3. Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Migration Assistant 4. Launch the Migration Assistant and choose "From a PC, Mac or Time Machine backup" 5. Choose your time machine backup 6. Choose the user where you had iCloud set up. 7. After it migrates, login as that user 8. Go to System Preferences -> iCloud 9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM Method 2 (Using a LAN connection) : 1. Launch Applications -> Utilities -> Migration Assistant on the Intel machine 2. Launch Applications -> Utilities -> Migration Assistant on the AMD machine 3. Choose "To a Mac" in the Intel machine 4. Choose "From a PC, Mac or Time Machine backup" on the AMD machine 5. On the AMD machine, choose the machine and then the user you have iCloud set up on 6. After it migrates, login as that user 7. Go to System Preferences -> iCloud 8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM And now comes the patience part. Your user will have the same application as the other users (if you did this correctly) but you will loose most of the preferences and you will need to set most things up again. But hey! iCloud works! Good luck getting those nudes leaked to the internet! P.S. : I used the VMWare method to do this. I installed a 10.8.3 image (found it here : https://kickass.to/os-x-mountain-lion-10-8-3-vmware-image-w-amd-support-t7229648.html) and followed this guide (mostly) : http://www.sysprobs.com/vmware-workstation-8-0-8-0-1-unlocker-to-run-mac-os-x-guest-in-windows-7 . The machine I used ran an Intel Core 2 Quad processor and it worked without changing anything in the image file. P.P.S. : NO MATTER WHAT, DO NOT CLICK "DISCONNECT" ON THE iCLOUD WINDOW!! Kudos to : - Zackehsoul for the VMWare image I used - Sysprobs for the VMWare guide - Niresh for the wonderful AMD support and this website - Bronya, Sinetek and AnV for the AMD Kernel on OSX 10.9.5 - Intel and Apple, for being a pain in the butt - The first person who also gets this to work and posts his/her results here - My dad
  3. Hello. I have successfully installed Niresh's Distro of Mac OS X Mavericks on my AMD system (specs to be told at end). After working hard and wasting many hours I could have been doing something else, I was able to boot without -x (safe boot). But now I have a Boot0 Error. But thats none of my concern as I can boot off the install flash drive just fine. I have a more important problem now. iCloud. I've tried all the methods I've read online and none of them seem to work. However, iTunes and the App Store signed in without a problem and is working like a real Mac would. I tired the Ethernet to "en0", adding "FileNVRAM.dylib" to modules folder. Nothing seems to work. Since I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, I was hoping to get some expert or someone who just happens to know a way that works. Thanks for the help in advance. My PC as follows: Processor: AMD FX 8350 Motherboard: GIGABYTE 990-FXA-UD3 RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston Blue Hyper X @ 1600MhZ Storage: 1TB HDD (no Mac OS X here, just Windows 10) 750GB HDD (Mac OS X drive) Graphics Card: MSI R9 280X (worked out of the box, no kexts needed. Only GraphicsEnabler=No boot flag) Included are some random screenshots.
  4. I have an AMD system (please find specs below). I have successfully installed Yosemite 10.10.1 using Yosemite Zone and I am very impressed by how smooth and really snappy OS X runs on the 8350. Yet I will only call this installation semi-successful for two things: first, iCloud and Facetime do not work, and second, Yosemite 10.10.3 update seems to be unachievable for my system at this time. This is not to say that I am not happy. In fact, if my installation stays unchanged, I would still be able to live with it. Except I think about that last final step towards a complete working system and I get restless. I think about it all the time. I have reinstalled Yosemite many times, having broken it after numerous unsuccessful attempts. Yet I am willing to reinstall it over and over again until I find my solution. So if someone out there knows for sure that certain solutions for certain systems simply have not yet been created, please have mercy and let me know. My compliments and thanks to those who pioneered and made devotees out of all of us! My specs: Processor: AMD FX8350 Motherboard/Chipset: Sabertooth 990FX r2.0/SB950 Graphics: Asus Poseidon GTX 780 3GB Ethernet: Realtek 8111F

    iMessage and iCloud

Hey Guys, Im having trouble signing into FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud. Ive got the App Store working as well as iTunes. I recently got everything else working flawlessly so this is the final thing i need to have a completely stable mac build. When i try to singn into either they just load for an infinite amount of time. When i installed Yosemite i used the AMD Webkit and i am currently using chameleon rn2538. Im not sure if that has anything to do with me not being able to sign in, but when i look up this issue people seem to refer to the kernel versions as well as the boot loader. My build: CPU: AMD FX-8320, 3.5ghz Ram: 10Gb DDR3 Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 1GB MoBo: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+

    Few problems with Yosemite

Hi, Im new at this forum, but I have managed to make the Yosemite work thanks to this website which i really appreciate and once i manage everything to work i will donate at least the minimum because your work is awesome Niresh and people around :] . I have installed a Clover EFI boot loader but the App Store doesn't allow me to download stuff. Also iCloud doesn't allow me to log in. I have read that its because Apple doesn't know my hardware but i have no idea how to make my yosemite pretend to be on a mac device so i can use these features. Also Im having a problem with making my Intel HD 4000 fully work. I get the 1024 MB of VRAM to work but i have switch the ig platform id from 01660003 to 01660004 to make my laptop screen work but then the HDMI output doesn't work so its kinda hard to work. I would like to use both of these screens and then if the HDMI is disconnected the laptop screen would become my main screen. And a little problem is that my Audio doesn't work from 3,5 mm jack output. Thanks everyone who knows how to solve one of these problems. Here is info about my HW, Mother board: MSI GE-16 CPU: Intel i5 3210M GPU: Intel HD 4000/ Nvidia GeForce GT650M Laptop MSI GE-60

  8. Hey Guys I have an Asus ux32a-db5. I have succefully installed mac os mavericks on to it with a dual boot of windows 7 Everything is working perfect even battery, brightness, sound and HDMI. I changed my Wifi centurion card for an Atheros 9285. I am using an Atheros 9285 wifi card to use the internet which is working fine. I dont have Lan connector since it is a thin ultra book. But i cannot get Apple store to work. I am already using the boot option Ethernet Built In but i still get the error message. Thanks for your help attached are pictures of my System Information network
  9. Good afternoon everyone, I been trying to get my iCloud to work with little success. I tried all the fixes out there: EFI studio, Ethernet Built in, NVRAM module, etc. I also tried installing 10.8.5 distro and iCloud is not working. When I do try to login to iCloud I get "Unable to sign in because of a problem communicating with iCloud" message. I am able to login into the APP STORE (I downloaded apps) and iTunes without any issues. When I do attempt to login into iMessage I input my credentials and it actually goes through, but two seconds after it logs me in iMessage goes "inactive" requiring me to input my password again. When I do input it again, it gives me trouble activating iMessage. Now for my specs: M5a97 R2 Motherboard AMD FX 4300 Processor AMD Radeon R9 270x Graphics I am running 10.9 Niresh stock, with the exception of my R9 270 Kexts, and Audio kexts. I made sure to update Chameleon and I can confirm my Ethernet is "en0" in system info I am using Chameleon pre made SMBIOS MacPro 3,1 and I randomized the Week of Manufacture and Unique Number Besides the fact iCloud/iMessage is not working I have a fully functional system. If I missed anything please do no hesitate to ask.
  10. Hi, I'm having an issue making iCloud work. The only one that works for me is App Store, the rest won't work. I've already tried the solution with EfiStudio, and already downloaded the Nvram file into Modules folder. Any further help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

    iCloud & iMessage

Hi! Ever since I first started hackintoshing i've always had a problem with iMessage and iCloud. Now I have Mavericks 10.9.2 installed with an AMD kernel for my Phenom II. But I can never get iMessage or iCloud to work. The Mac App Store works OOB. I've tried installing chameleon aswell as chimera unlimited amount of times. FileNvram is in the modules folder. I have generated a random serial number for my hackintosh using chameleon wizard. SMBIOS is macpro 6.1 (ive switched between iMac and Macpro a couple of times without success) In SMBIOS i have changed SMserial to my mac serial. I have tried adding ethernet string in <device properties> in my chameleon plist however when I do that my screen goes black when it's suppost to go to the login screen. Ethernetbuildtin is set Yes. I've tried deleting all the networks in settings aswell as deleting the networkpreferences file. I have added a creditcard to my apple id. I've also tried changing the password. I'm completely clueless on what to do. please help. I'd really like to have atleast iMessage working
