  1. Niresh Yosemite post install Hi everyone. I am new on this forum but i am not new in Hackintoshes :-) First i made early 2008..... Now i use Niresh Yosemite installer for the first time and i have a ''simple'' :-) question.... Complete installation goes well, on first boot of the system i start with nv_disable=1 and after that i install NVidia web drivers and restart computer. After reboot i install Clover (at the first try)(after that complete reinstall) and Chimera (on second try) and boot stucks on Bluetooth transport.....in both cases On first install i leave checkbox next to bootloader empty (in customize before install OSX) If i boot with USB everything goes normal..... Please help me :-)) and of course, THX in advance... sorry for bad english, i am from Croatia -) Hardware: Gigabyte ga z97x gaming 3 Proc: i7 4790k 24 GB Ram Gigabyte GTX 750 w 2GB ram SSD 120, 400 GB Toshiba,
  2. Instal USB won't find kernel Hi. I am stuck with my PC and can't load the installation program of Yosemite. After I managed to build my own InstallESD on a USB stick, I tried Chameleon, Clover and Chimera but failed. None of the bootloaders found the kernel and therefore won't load. Chimera 4.1.0 at least says "Loading Darwin 10.10.5 Kernel Cache ignored. Loading kernel /System/Library/Kernels/kernel Can't find /System/Library/Kernels/kernel" Any suggestions? Thnx BC ---- Project Hackintosh: GA-b75m-d3h i5-2500K 8 GB Ram
  3. Hello guyz, after a lot of research and uncountable tries with various kernels and kext files, i had successfully installed OSX 10.10.3 on my AMD FX 8350. I would like to help every AMD FX users on how to install 10.10.3 on their System and enable GFX acceleration on nvidia cards. Prerequisites: Download the 10.10.3 Combo update file from the link below. https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1804?locale=en_US Installation Instructions: Step 1: Install Yosemite Zone 10.10.1 with /amd1 bootflag OR Install 10.10.1 with Unibeast drive using amd kernel Step 2: Download the .rar file from the link below and extract it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2tOEfugYcrnTTVtRDNISjBKV2s/view?usp=sharing Step 3: In the rar file you will get a file as "kern" without quotes. Its the kernel file. Copy/paste the file on the root of you hackintosh drive. Also copy/paste two other kext files named as AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext on the root of your hackintosh or downloads folder of your hackintosh as we will need these two files later. Also Copy/paste the Web driver which i had also given on the rar file. Step 4: Now its time to install the 10.10.3 combo update file which u had downloaded. Step 5: After installing the update file, dont restart your PC. First, you have to copy/paste the pthread.kext file on System/Library/Extensions. or you can use Kext Wizard to install the Kext. You will get the pthread.kext file on the rar file which u had downloaded. On the rar file, you will get a .zip file named as 10102-UPD-Patch-pthread.kext.zip. Extract that zip file and you will get pthread.kext. Step 6: After installing the kext, Fix permissions with Kext wizard and then restart your PC and let the update complete. Step 7: After updating the hackintosh to 10.10.3, its time to boot. So now we need that kernel file which we had pasted on the root directory of the hackintosh drive earlier. So, insert the Yosemite Zone Pendrive as because we need that drive to boot into our hackintosh drive as it has got chameleon installed. Step 8: After inserting the Yosemite Zone Pendrive, boot from the pendrive and select your hackintosh drive from the chameleon boot menu. And now use the following boot flags: /kern -v -x -f Step 9: Patience. It will take some time to boot and after successful boot, it will boot without hardware acceleration. Step 10: Now we need to install the two other kext which we had copied earlier. So fire up Kext Wizard and install those two kext AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext. After installing the kexts, fix permission using kext wizard. Step 11: install the nvidia web driver which you had copied earlier. After installing the driver, remember to use boot flag nvda_drv=1 on org.chameleon.boot.plist and also copy the kernel file "kern" without quotes to System/Library/kernels and run chameleon Wizard and on org.chameleon.boot. option, tick mark kernel option and on the text bar below type in "kern" without quotes. This will make the OSX boot with kern everytime and you dont need to enter /kern bootflag everytime. Step 12: Reboot your PC and on the Chameleon Boot menu, Choose your hackintosh drive and hit ENTER. ENJOY YOSEMITE 10.10.3 on AMD FX. 4. I installed Windows 10 on Drive 1. I then installed 10.10.1 on Drive 2. Two separate drives not partitions. I wanted to dual boot and I saw articles that suggested to install Windows 10 first. So that's what I did. I do have a back up image of my Windows 10, but that's not the issue. I went to Multibeast and installed Chimera boot loader. What I didn't do is check before I installed Chimera if my dual boot was working. This is my problem now. I can restart the machine and boot into 10.10.1. If I try to boot into Windows, I get an error saying did not find OS, please Ctrl+Alt+Delete. If I do that, I get Chimera boot menu again. NOW if I select 10.10.1 it will NOT Boot. I have to power off. THEN I can boot into 10.10.1 So if I try to boot Windows 10, error, then Ctrl+Alt+Delete, boot 10.10.1 no dice. Only way to boot into 10.10.1 is power cycle and then boot. I need my Windows 10 back, and then my other issue should go away. How can I get Chimera to see my Windows 10?
  5. Hi guys, Since this morning i updated my hackintosh to 10.10.5, and now my machine isn't booting anymore. As soon as i press enter on my OSX disk in Chimera, my system reboots. Anyone any idea? Or shouldn't have updated my machine..:S AMD FX6350 GTX 670 8GB RAM Chimera : npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=No USBBusfix=Yes Thanks for help ;-)
  6. Let me start off by saying that I am willing to pay for some extra help if necessary. I love Yosemite and I've been struggling with this for a couple weekends, so if someone does a great job of helping out I can definitely recognize that via PayPal. I have an HP DV6t-6100 with Insyde f1.b BIOS, i7 2820QM, Intel HD 3000 graphics and a Radeon HD 6770m 2gb on 16gb RAM and a hybrid 1tb drive partitioned 872gb Windows 7 / 128gb OS X Yosemite (hopefully). I also have a 1920x1080 resolution screen that I don't care about getting working correctly, I just want to at least install. I currently am attempting a Unibeast boot (so if I understand correctly, Chimera/Chameleon). Previously, I've gotten as far as to run the installer in Yosemite Zone and even had a bootable Yosemite with -x and CPUs=1. I would go back to Yosemite Zone(at least I knew it could work) but for the life of me I cannot get the installer to run again. I can't get the bootloader to boot past the forward slash symbol in the upper left corner, and I don't know which version I had that was running. I've tried 3 out that I've found to each have different file sizes from various torrent networks and google searched - none of them work. I get the bootloader to run - I select the USB drive of my four options to boot into, and using the boot flags -v, and CPUs=1 I get this screen here: Notice that I have a lapic_kernel panic, on an HP laptop, which is typical. But look at my boot flags!! I have CPUs=1 set. I normally use -x as well, but I forgot here and it creates the same message regardless. I have a quad core It's common knowledge that HP Laptops have local APIC issues, well documented, and there is already a KernelPatcher.dylib fix for the issue(shouts out to donovan6000? I think). Supposedly you can use CPUs=1 as a short term fix for the issue. Obviously this isn't the case for me. Regardless of the fact that CPUs=1 didn't resolve the issue in my case, I tried to use KernelPatcher.dylib, installed it in the Extra/modules folder using TransMac, and after I did that I got even less far in the bootloader process. I don't care about working Audio, working high resolution graphics, or anything else. If I can get to barely crawl through the boot and install process and get to a functioning Finder window I will be 100% happy. I can do the rest of the playing around with kext files stuff later, right now I just want it to boot. Aside from the KernelPatcher.dylib I threw into Extra/modules (and then took out) I am using a completely virgin copy of Unibeast on a 64gb SanDisk USB drive. My Unibeast options: Yosemite 10.10.1 downloaded from Mac App Store on a real copy of Yosemite Laptop Support On Legacy USB On (didn't think I would need this one but without it I can't seem to load Chimera) I don't have a DSDT file, and I'm not sure if I need one. I've looked at tonymacs DSDT section and they have HP ProBook but that's the closest thing I could find - didn't seem like quite a good fit. Was I wrong? My motherboard, as typical of Insyde f1.b, is locked. It is using BIOS. The options I have from memory are.. Virtualization(enabled) action keys(enabled) changes Fx keys to require holding fn+Fx key, don't think this matters switchable graphics fixed/dynamic(set to fixed.) this controls how the dual graphics switch, all the guides I've read have said to stick with Fixed so I haven't experimented too much out side of this setting. fan always on(disabled) I think this lets the fan turn off if the CPU is cool enough. Don't think this matters, but my fan doesn't turn off during bootloader anyways lol My hard drive is a fusion 20gb flash 980gb HDD. I don't know how this correlates to the bootloader - I've tried dropssdt=yes a couple times but it doesn't seem to do anything different. But like I said I did get Yosemite Zone running ONCE but I cannot(and believe me I have tried) get it to run again. I am definitely doing something wrong. I'd like to stick with Unibeast if possible, but I'm open to whatever, I'm even going to buy a second USB stick in a couple days here to test out two easily. SO right now KernelPatcher.dylib is not installed, but it can be in a second. LET ME KNOW if there is ANY more information I can provide, I will be happy too. I tried to put everything I could think of in here. I've seen videos and posts of people with my same model of laptop, DV6t-6100, running Yosemite(more commonly mavericks) showing off that they have like 99% of the laptop working, so I know it's possible, I just don't know how they got there. I would be ecstatic if I could get this working tonight. Any help is so, so appreciated.

Origin from Apple's boot132 project. This version of boot0af implements hybrid GUID/MBR partition scheme support. Written by Tamás Kosárszky on 2008-03-10 boot0ss (boot0 Signature Scanning) - MBR sector that search for partition with valid PBR signature regardless if it's active or not. Good for Windows that wants to have its partition active. It share the same code as boot0af. Only scanning is done in different order. boot1h - PBR sector for HFS+ formatted partition. Search for file "boot" in the root of the partiton. Origin from Apple's boot132 project. Written by Tamás Kosárszky on 2008-04-14. This is mod by Slice to support large boot file. Not 440kb as origin but 472k needed to boot Clover-64. boot1h2 - PBR sector for HFS+ formatted partition with alternative booting with choice of key pressed. File to boot = "boot{key}". Coded by dmazar based on boot1h. boot1f32 - PBR sector for FAT32 formatted partition. Search for file "boot" in the root of the partiton. Useful for EFI partition or USB stick. Written by mackerintel on 2009-01-26. boot1f32alt - PBR sector for FAT32 formatted partition with alternative booting with choice of key pressed. File to boot = "boot{key}". Modded by Slice based on boot1f32 and boot1h2. p.s.: can't find a better place to share it(very slow internet ... try to reaupload this solution to www.hackintoshzone.com again in few days) ... maby any people from community administration can upload it in this post? thanks...

    Dual Boot Help

Hi everyone, I am having trouble dual booting Windows 8.1 and Mavericks. I am not really sure which OS to install first in the Hard drive I am using, or how to properly install a boot loader for both of them to work. I have UEFI for my motherboard if you need to know.
