VirtualBox install on Win7 host, I had to uncheck EFI for system to get the installer to load.  After running the installer, "erasing" the drive (partition and format), I was able to select it and begin the install.  I was greeted with a hangup at the 2 minute left mark.  After trying over again to install two more times, I realized it was a bug in the installer.  I searched for help with it and found a video here: Stuck at 2 minute warning

I had to download the ISO again after I determined it got corrupted with the first install attempt, and to I used a copy of it to do the 2n and 3rd installs.  It is just a file not written to a CD read-only, so it happens.  I also had to delete the VM and start over as the virtual files were also corrupted, so I just began again fresh each install attempt.  The 3rd install I used the steps to overcome the 2 min freeze of the installer, but the steps could not be performed, due to not reaching a back prompt.  I'm assuming now that some install files were corrupt.  I again started fresh with all newly created files for ISO (copy) and created VB VM with EFI unchecked.  I made sure to only do the steps exactly as needed without exploring different buttons and functions.  When I reach the stuck at 2 minute warning this time, I made sure to click the red 'X' top right window and power down the VM.  When I restarted, I use the -s -v -x boot options, and reached the bash prompt.  I ran the fsck and ran the ./postinstall process.  System booted up.

I was and am concerned that some system files and kexts are not installed and working properly, even though the file system was checked.  Some files I think are missing still, and maybe some kexts are not loading properly?  I got the Kext-wizard and ran that, so that's something anyway.  At this point, since we can use the "Guest Additions" I had to find info on changing the screen size.  I found that here: VM Increase screen resolution

My laptop is 1366x768 and I set window to scale now, and double click the top bar to maximize.  HackintoshZone.com is running, but running slowish.  I didn't expect it to be fast.  I just wanted to check out OSX and an OSX only photo program called Affinity Photo for Mac Only  The Affinity Photo opened, but center display does not show a photo, so it's broke for my VM.  I'm not sure that I like OSX?  It's for sure not "easy" like Windows, and definitely user unfriendly when compared to Linux, and so I can say that I prefer Linux over OSX as a GUI because it does not have the controls over it like Mac has placed, but the applications for OSX seem more polished for sure.  Window7 is old school, but what I'm used to now.  I also have Win10 on a VM and it's really polished, but the whole thing looks like adware and locked into buying shit and full of targeted advertising based on it knowing what you do on the Internet.  It's really kind of scary really that Win10 is a completely "Push" product to make people a continuous supply of money from those that use it.  I'll keep checking out OSX for a time, but right now, I don't think It's going to be anything close to what I enjoy with Windows7.

The HackintoshZone.com installer, well it works to a point, for me anyway.  It would be nice if a monitoring routine was added to detect stalls and prompt a shell/terminal window displaying an error message, and some commands to run to get around the stall?  Perhaps a process monitor window along with the function is needed as well, so any errors can be displayed as install proceeds, and a log from it saved automatically.  At least this way we can both view progress, errors, and have a hard copy of things.  It would also be nice if this list of errors could be linked to solutions.
